Mental Health Guide

The Mental Health Guide is a special edition issue published by the Daily Titan — California State University, Fullerton’s independent student-run newspaper. In this issue, there are articles on the topics of mental health, especially on how students can improve their own as midterm season approaches. I designed the cover with illustrations of what a positive mental health could embody — creativity, intelligence, and growth. These are represented by the objects in the person’s “mind.” The Montserrat typeface complements the sans-serif typeface of the Daily Titan logo. Lastly, the lavender color is often associated with calmness and relaxation.

On the back cover, I also designed an ad following the theme of mental health, as well as promoting Winter Session for CSUF’s Extension and International Programs. This ad was awarded 1st place for Best House Ad by the Pinnacle College Media Awards at the 2021ACP/CMA Fall National Media Convention.
